This year, we had the immense pleasure of collaborating on a project to bring essential computer science and skills to all students, regardless of their field of study.
I’ve shared a lot about our #NetworkingLab and how students eagerly dove into hands-on learning and research.
But today, I want to emphasize that for projects like this to truly thrive, you need the support of an open-minded teacher. Someone like Alenka, who’s ready to embrace ideas that might seem a bit bold or “out of scope” at first! ✨
Being able to teach and lecture in the classroom myself was a privilege. It’s a testament to the trust Alenka extended. There’s nothing quite like experiencing firsthand the rollercoaster of emotions students go through as they learn with your content.
From the eager “hackers” ready to dig deep, to those initially scared of computers who blossom when working in pairs, the diversity of knowledge in a gymnasium is truly remarkable.
We were ambitious, aiming to grab everyone’s attention for challenging subjects like programming, computer networks, and cybersecurity. Turning theoretical topics into interactive, engaging experiences requires a lot of ingenuity, and the support of a teacher willing to experiment and see results unfold is invaluable.
